yumi happily skipped down the path from prof. selenas lab with carly right next to her and she ended up on a new path. she looked at her map. "alright right now we are on the blooming path." she sighed looking at the map, it was going to take forever to get to the gym.

Ah Blooming Path, isn't it just relaxing? With the vibrant colours of flowers and the fresh, cold, windy air, it's just the prefect place to-
Hold on, what's that?
What Yumi just saw is a flash of brown that went right across the path. What it is confirmed is that it is a pokemon, but what kind it is? There are plenty of pokemon that are brown, including the one that Yumi is hoping to get. It's a one in a hundred chance, but it could be, right?
The trouble is, should she go after it? Be in mind that the pokemon could be a very angry Pinsir, or it could be a trick of Yumi's eye. But that's not the problem now.

yumi watched as a flash of brown went past her. "no way... could i be that lucky?" she didnt know but she wanted to take a chance. "cmon carly lets go check it out." she said and they followed after it hoping its the pokemon shes wanted.

The pair followed the flash of brown off the Blooming Path. Then again, that flash of brown isn't a flash of brown any more. It has revealed itself to be a Sentret, much to Yumi's disappointment. The Sentret is now prancing around a little patch of flowers it had found, simply looking blissful and oblivious to Yumi's and Carly's presence.
"Ginger?", a voice called out from somewhere behind Yumi, "Ginger! Where are you?" The voice is now closer than before. It wasn't long before Yumi heard it directly beside her. The Sentret's ears perked up and followed its trainer's voice. Soon, it found its trainer and run towards her arms.
"There you are Ginger!" The voice belongs to a girl of fifteen, as Yumi soon finds out, "Don't you ever scare me like that again!"
The girl turned towards Yumi, and actually jumped at finding her there. But that moment passed rather quickly, for the girl immediately reached out a free hand and says, "Hi! The name's Winston, Wendy Winston."
Wendy found Carly at Yumi's feet, and ask with a glint in her eye, "What's the level of your chikorita?"

yumi sighed, not an eevee. she saw the traininer and smiled and grabbed her hand. "im yumi yumi hitose." she heard her ask what was the level of her pokemon. "o i just got carly shes only at level 6." she said and looked at her curiously. "may i ask why you wanted to know?"

"Level 6? That's good, Ginger is level 7." Wendy let the female Sentret down before speaking again, "We had been looking and knocking out wild pokemon here recently."
"It's simple why I want to know actually." Wendy answered Yumi's later question with a slightly haughty tone in her voice, "Why don't we have a pokemon battle? You, me, Carly and Ginger. We had to train for the gym sooner or later."

yumi looked at her and sighed. "sure what do you think carly you up for a battle?" carly looked at the sentret and nodded. "chika chika!" she said and got in front of yumi ready to fight. "alright i guess its settled lets go."

"Okay!" Wendy gives Yumi a thumb's up as she said that. To be honest, this is Wendy's first time in a trainers battle. Still, it must be just like a wild pokemon battle, only with another person, right?
Wendy sets Ginger down, backed a few distance away from her opponent, and yelled out, "Let's start! Ginger! Give that Chikorita a Quick Attack! Fast fast fast!"

yumi took a deep breath. "alright carly use vine whip to dodge out of the way then use razor leaf!" yumi yelled. carly nodded vines comeing out of the sides of her neck and they hit against the ground sending her into the air. then she swings the leaf on her head sending out a bunch of sharp smaller leaves down at ginger.

"Okay Ginger, dodge it quick..." Wendy started, her Sentret listened, but it's too late. The Razor Leaf managed to slice Ginger's arm a little. Thank goodness that Ginger managed to move away just a bit before it strikes.
"We need to improve on that." Wendy sighed as she continued her rest of her earlier sentence, "Get into a Defense Curl, then use Scratch!"
Ginger obeyed and got into her defensive position. Then the Sentret uncurled herself, got her claws out, and ran towards Carly...

"carly hurry use razor leaf!" carly was about to swing her leaf but wasnt fast enough and got hit with a direct hit "o carly can you get up?" carly struggles but manages to get up "chika chika!" yumi smiles. "alright carly go use vine whip and grap hold of ginger!"

Ginger's speed, as we know from the earlier attack, falls slightly below average. So does it surprise anyone that Carly's Vine Whip actually got hold of the Sentret? The attack however, it's not prefect, for Yumi's Chikorita's attack has only managed to grab hold of Ginger's ears.
<Ow ow ow...> Ginger cried out. No one has ever dared to grab her ears before. Ow indeed.
Wendy, on the other hand, is feeling quite the opposite of her pokemon. Remotely clam and collective. She simply said, "We had been in this situation before Ginger! Use Scratch to remove Carly's vines!"
((It's up to you to decide if the attack worked. Please explain how if it didn't ^^))

((thats easy to explain))
the scratch was fast and strong and would have worked. but considering that carly had grabed the top of sentrets ears and her arms are so short the scratch didnt make contact before carly swung her around and threw her right at the ground. "alright good job carly!"

Wendy is instantly reminded of how caveman used to carry their wives by grabbing their hair as the Chikorita slammed her poor Sentret onto the ground. What she had said earlier about themselves meeting this situation has been a big fat lie of course. Wendy now doesn't know what to do.
"Ginger, return!" Wendy flicked out her Sentret's PokeBall and the Sentret immediately returned inside, warm and snug. Wendy then pick out another PokeBall and threw it onto the ground. Out comes not one, not two, but six eggs of various sizes - Exeggcute.
"Caught them during one of our wild pokemon trainings. A level lesser then Carly, but aren't Psychic moves suppose to be super effective to Grass type pokemons?" Wendy suddenly said as if Yumi asked her something. What she didn't say however, is that Exeggcute has lost half of their health during the said battle with Wendy and Ginger. Some of the Exeggcute are looking pretty smashed actually.
Wendy is now calling out to Exeggcute, "All right Eggies! This is a chance for you guys to prove yourselves! Go Hypnosis the Chikorita!"

yumi looked at her wierd, "actually no it only does normal damage and poison is weak against psychic not grass. everyone knows that duh." but not paying attention carly got hit by hypnosis and fell asleep. "crap," she said. "cmon carly wake up!"
