Dwayna looked around at the trees surrounding the path through the forest. The wind rustled through the leaves above her head, and while she was walking, she kept a watchful eye. Usually, in forests, bug Pokemon were bound to show up, or even other wild types of PokeMon. Cynthia was still bundled up in her coat, but she also kept a watchful eye, probably looking for berries or food.

Greenleaf Forest - where everywhere is green, green and more green. Grass type pokemon will be hard to be seen in this amount of green, unless it simply wants your attention.
Which is what that Hoppip is doing right now.
The Hoppip is simply jumping all about in front of Dwayna, sometimes floating in front of her and that action got it carried away by the strong wind at one time, but it always comes back. How queer is that behaviour? Wild pokemon don't usually show themselves like that in front of a human.
One thing that Dwayna had to take note of, is that the Hoppip is wearing a ribbon on one of its leaves. That's right, a simple ribbon that is the same shade of its bright red body. Could this means that the Hoppip is owned by someone?
Cynthia's eyes is following the Hoppip's every move, maybe waiting for a signal from it.

Dwayna was slightly startled by the Hoppip, about to send Cynthia into battle with it, when she noticed the ribbon. "Do you belong to someone, Hoppip?" Dwayna smiled pleasantly at the PokeMon, always wanting to be friendly first. "If so, do you need help finding them?"

The Hoppip begin to nod, but stop in mid-action, and shakes its head. It looks sad now, maybe Dwayna has upset it? Oh dear.
The Hoppip gave a low sob, hoping that the trainer won't notice, before moving itself out of the way. Looks like it needs to be alone now, but occasionally it glances back at Cynthia, maybe hoping that she could give it some comfort.

Dwayna looked a bit sad at the Hoppip being sad, but noticed that it seemed to be looking towards Cynthia. "Cynthia, why don't you try to help our little friend here?" Dwayna said this to the Vulpix, smiling pleasantly and encouragingly.
The Vulpix jumped out of Dwayna's coat, looking at the Hoppip with her beady black eyes. When the vulpix spoke, it was all jibberish to Dwayna, but the other PokeMon surely understood. "What's wrong, Hoppip?"

<Oh nothing. I just got released by my trainer because he thinks I'm too weak for anything. I mean, sure. My Tackle needs work, and Splash can't do any damage whatsoever, but hey! I can use Synthesis, very effective for tag battles, okay?> The Hoppip pauses for a moment as she flicked the ribbon tied on its leaves, <I have no idea why I even keep this thing. Oh, right, I can't remove it. Ha ha ha.>
The Hoppip stopped for a moment before suddenly bursting into tears, <I missed him so MUCH. Why did he abandoned me? Oh how I plead with him. I even stooped as low as clinching onto his head, saying that I will get better - but of course he can't understand me! In the end, he had to shatter my Poke Ball to get rid of me! WHY?!> Its sobs are much louder now.
Looks like you got quite a dramatic pokemon there.

Cynthia looked at the Hoppip with sad concern. How could a Trainer do such a thing? Her trainer wasn't like that... that was when an idea came to Cynthia.
"That's very sad to hear, Hoppip. If you like, I'm sure my trainer would be glad to have you travel with us. She's very caring of others."
The Vulpix smiled pleasantly, walking back to Dwayna, jumping up to knock off one of the empty PokeBalls as a hint. Dwayna picked it up and looked towards the Hoppip, understanding now that it must have been abandoned.
"Would you like to join us, Hoppip? I promise to take good care of you."

<Me? To join you? Why of course yes!> The Hoppip began walking towards Dwayna, before stopping again and turning back towards Cynthia and give her the best Hoppip smirk (which isn't really a smirk- Hoppips can't smirk, unfortunately). The Hoppip ran over to the puddle near the Vulpix and jump inside, making a big Splash toward her.
The Hoppip began to giggle loudly. It's quite a while before she stopped and become serious. Pointing one of its leaves towards Cynthia, it said, <It is unfortunately that we Hoppips have a proud nature, so I'm afraid that you have to battle with me first before I go with you!>
<Well, I just used my turn. It's your move now.>

Dwayna looked a bit concerned at what to do. Cynthia was a Fire type, and surely would damage the Hoppip greatly in one hit. She was also reminded that her Eevee was still damaged. The Hoppip used Splash, which didn't really do anything... The moment was now.
"Alright, Cynthia. Since it's your only physical move right now, use Ember!" Small flames shot out of the Vulpix's mouth, scorching the poor Hoppip. Dwayna hoped that it wasn't too damaged, but just damaged enough to perhaps already throw a PokeBall.

Cynthia's Ember hit, of course, full force on the Hoppip. It burnt off half of its ribbon in the process. With the latter's weakness against fire types, the Hoppip's health fell disastrously.
The Hoppip looked a bit hurt at the sight of its burnt ribbon, but quickly composed itself again and use Synthesis. Still, the move is a half-baked effect, for it only manage with regain just a bit of its health - Greenleaf Forest is a pretty dark place.
The Hoppip intended to use Splash and let the water cover all over its body to protect itself if another Ember strikes. Its old trainer once taught it that way so that it could be stronger. Still, the Hoppip doesn't want to freeze itself in the wind, and it did wanted the human to catch it actually. The former mentioned does seems like a nice lady.
The Hoppip is now moving towards the Vulpix with increasing speed. Get ready for a Tackle!

Cynthia reared back in pain from the Tackle hitting her body, getting back up afterwards and shaking her fur. Dwayna thought that another Ember would take the poor Hoppip out.
"Cynthia, return!" The Vuplix hopped back next to Dwayna, watching the Hoppip warily. Dwayna took out the PokeBall holding her Eevee and sent it out. "Go, Brian!"
The Eevee came out, ruffling his fur slightly. He looked at the Hoppip determinedly, getting ready for whatever it would dish out next.

Where did that Vulpix go? The Hoppip looks around and found the an Eevee standing in her place. The Eevee looks healthy, but its own health is now pretty low. The Ember from that Vulpix earlier is super effective against her type, after all.
The Hoppip braced itself, and run towards the Eevee for a full frontal Tackle.

The Eevee gracefully dodged out of the way of the Tackle, not wanting to be hurt anymore than it was. Calculating in all of the factors of the Ember and the fact that the Hoppip had healed some with synthesis, it should be able to take one more hit before Dwayna could catch it.
"Alright, Brian, use your own Tackle!" The Eevee leapt towards the Hoppip, crashing into it and damaging it a bit more. Dwayna pulled out an empty PokeBall, respectfully waiting for the Hoppip to make it's last turn.
((OOC: Unless I can throw the PokeBall now?))

((You can throw a PokeBall any time you like. I won't stop you, but there's a higher chance of capturing the wild pokemon if you weaken it first )) The Hoppip moved just away in time to dodge the little Evolution Pokemon. After the dodge, the Hoppip simply just stood there. It doesn't tried to make any movement or any hint of an attack. It has, after all, noticed the PokeBall in Dwayna's hands. Maybe it's time to get a new owner? Oh... a good time to move in! Quick! Before it changes its mind!

Dwayna saw that the Hoppip stopped its movements, and quickly cast the empty PokeBall at it. She watched as the Hoppip dissolved into the red capturing light, and crossed her fingers. She wondered if after all that, the Hoppip would decide to come with her after all.
