So the lab is a place for you to get your first Pokemon. Usually I or a mod will assist your character to get your starter. This place is still count as a Roleplaying place, so no Roleplay no Pokemon. You can any kind of basic Pokemon. Even those that rare if you're lucky. Look at other people's roleplay to see how Roleplaying goes.
When you get in, if I'm the one who will give you your Pokemon, I will ask you what is your favorite Pokemon Pokemon type. But... You can also said your favorite basic Pokemon, and you might get it. However, if you're unlucky, the professor (My character) will give you one Pokemon in your favorite type instead.
So what did the Lab looks like? Basic appearance from the outside was already said at the home page. And the inside?

It's basically looks like a normal house when you first come in. There's some bookshelf that is also filled with boxes, Pokemon figure, and Pokeballs. There's some brown relaxing couches for you to sit on and talk with the professor, plus a coffe table. You can get the starter pack from a glass shelf near the couches. It's always locked, so only those that work at the lab can get it open.
But at some of other rooms, which you're not allowed to get into, there's some strange machine and some Pokeballs. This is where the word "Lab" take place. Here people make experiment and research of Pokemon.
